Position:     Brand Ambassador
Type:           Part Time, Hourly (Seasonal – Summer)

Left Field Brewery is a small, Toronto-based family company with a passion for making great tasting beer. We also happen to love baseball. We value highly skilled, friendly, hard-working beer lovers who enjoy working in an open, collaborative and creative environment.

Job Description
Under the direction of the External Events Team Leader, Brand Ambassadors act as brewery representatives at various events where Left Field Brewery beer is served and/or promoted. This includes but is not limited to beer festivals, sporting events, farmers markets and community events. The Ambassador will be responsible for setting up equipment, tables, tents, pouring beer, and educating consumers on our beers and brand identity.

Responsibilities
Greeting and providing exceptional service to event attendees
Engage and educate consumers on our brands, the brewing process and our brewery
Pour draught and packaged beer
Set-up and maintain a high-impact, clean and tidy branded serving area
Organize and transport equipment, beer, merchandise, and promotional materials to and from events
Cash and token/ticket handling including use of mobile POS and credit/debit processing
Set up, break down, and clean event booth area and supplies
Maintenance of all event equipment

Qualifications
Exceptional customer service skills
A passion for great beer and knowledge of beer, the brewing process and beer styles
Excellent communicator, personable, warm and friendly
Positive attitude and a team player
Knowledge of draft and flash cooling (jockey box) systems and principles
Formal Beer Training, i.e. Cicerone, Prud’homme, etc. is an asset
Must be enthusiastic, engaging, organized and passionate about beer
Weekend availability for full event schedule between May – August
Ability to work flexible and occasionally long hours
Some overnight travel may be required
Class G Driver’s License with clean drivers abstract
Smart Serve Certification
At least 18 years of age or older
Physical Demands: Regularly required to stand for long periods of time. Must be able to lift and move objects up to 50lbs

The ideal candidate will be a 5-tool player. In baseball, this is an athlete who excels at hitting for average, hitting for power, base running, throwing, and fielding. We’re looking for a similar all-star with a diversified set of skills that will complement the above listed qualifications in contributing to a small, lean organization.
